Q&A

  • Q. I am attempting to access the LOI for the first time, but cannot locate in the GiftsOnline Portal. What do I do?

    • A. If this is your first time accessing the the 2018-2019 LOI, please make sure you have clicked on the LOI specific link found on the Grant Introduction tab. Grantseekers, will be unable to start on the LOI through the typical GiftsOnline Portal link. Once you have start the LOI, you can always return and continue your work by accessing the GiftsOnline Portal found here. Grantseekers will be required to use a member password to start the LOI which will be emailed to each member’s contact.

  • Q. How do I access the Grant Application?

    • Grantseekers will be required to complete the LOI prior to accessing the Grant Application. Once the LOI has been submitted, the Grant Application will become available in your GiftsOnline account within 48 hours. When locating your application for the first time, please navigate to the “application” section of the GiftsOnline account.

  • Q. I forgot my GiftsOnline password. What do I do?

    • If you have access to your account but have forgotten your password, please follow the “forgot my password” prompt on the GiftsOnline login page.

  • Q. Will an FAFCC Staff member email me after I have submit the LOI and Grant Application?

    • A. No, awardees will not receive confirmation of submission from an FAFCC Staff Member as GitftsOnline submissions will generate automated email. If you cannot locate your email, please check your junkmail and make sure mail@grantapplication.com  is on your safe senders list.

  • Q. What if I have questions regarding the content of the LOI and Grant Application?

    • A. We encourage all awardees to read the Notification of Funding Availability (NOFA) in its entirety, in addition to viewing all webinar and video sources. If neither source answers your question, E-mail is the best form of communication for questions. If you do call and your call is not answered, please leave a voicemail with your name and question. We encourage all grantseekers to wait until the NOFA(July 16th) and Tech(July 17th) webinars before reaching out with any questions.

  • Q. What if I have a technical related issue?

    • A. For any technical difficulties regarding accessing the Grant Narrative, Patient Services, or Reallocation Request Form, please contact Program Officer Matt English at Matt@fafcc.org. If possible please provide a screenshot of the technical issue in an email.

  • Q. What does it mean in the Grant Application “Provide the most most recent board approved budget; do not include projected receipt of state funds grant from FAFCC;”
  • A. It is your most recent board approved operating budget, minus any projected FAFCC funds in the 18-19 grant cycle. However, if your clinic runs on a fiscal year that would include already awarded FAFCC funds, you can include those in the operating budget. Please see example below:

Clinic ABC received $100,000 in funding for the 17-18 FAFCC grant cycle. Clinic ABC’s most recent board approved operating budget is for their fiscal year of January 1, 2018 - December 31, 2018. In this case, in 2018 the clinic would have received the remaining $52,600 in funding from the 17-18 grant program. This already awarded funding is allowed to be included in the operating budget we are looking for you to provide. What is not allowed is if that same clinic includes the $47,400 of projected funding in the operating budget from its 18-19 cycle proposal (for this example we are using a $100,000 proposal for 18-19).
